The main difference between LP2 and LP3 lies in their laser source type and the materials they can process. LaserPecker LP2 uses a blue diode laser, while LaserPecker LP3 uses a infrared laser.
LaserPecker LP2 can engrave on almost all common materials like wood, craftpaper, bamboo, glass, etc., but a pretreatment is needed before engraving on stainless steel and plastics. While LaserPecker LP3 is made for engraving on metals and plastics, it can achieve great results on them without pretreatment.
LaserPecker LP3CAN ENGRAVE on almost all pure metals and alloys, like gold, silver, copper, aluminium, iron, titanium and stainsteel and plastics like AEV, PET, acrylic, PH, PVC without pretreatment.
Besides, LaserPecker LP3 can also engrave on faux leather, lacquered paper, lacquered wood, parts of stones, purple clay, etc.
LaserPecker LP3CANNOT ENGRAVEon wood, bambus.
LaserPecker LP3's standard engraving area is 115 x 80 mm (ellipse) / 65 x 65 mm (square).
LP3 can work with the Fixture, Safety Goggles, LP Bluetooth Dongle, Versatile Electric Roller, Powerbank, Storage Bag, etc.
You can use 【LaserPecker】mobile APP or【LaserPecker Design Space】mobile APP and desktop software to connect to LP3. You can connect LP3 to LaserPecker APPs via Bluetooth, to the PC software via a Type-A to Type-C USB cable or an LP Bluetooth Dongle.
REVIEWS
great performance with high precision
The LaserPecker 3 laser engraver is a great choice for those looking to easily engrave metal and plastic materials. The compressed light spot of this laser engraving machine is much smaller than other laser engraving machines, which can achieve more detailed and vivid engraving. It also has an extremely fast engraving speed of 48000mm/min. This makes it an excellent choice for those looking for a fast and efficient engraver. Overall, the LaserPecker 3 laser engraver is an excellent choice for anyone looking for a fast and efficient engraver. Its smaller compression point allows for finer, more vivid sculpting. Dual infrared light positioning design can quickly and accurately control the electric support. It also comes with a detachable base design for engraving tall objects or for handheld mode use. And, it comes with a 12-month warranty and great customer service. All of these features make the LaserPecker 3 laser engraver an excellent choice for anyone looking for a reliable, efficient engraver.
Really liking this LaserPecker 3 engraver/cutter. First time using such a device so a quick learning curve was needed. Joining the fb user group helped a lot (just search within the group for your question, if not answered previously, ask away).
I have so far done engravings on stainless steel (reusable) straws, mdf coasters & slate coasters (photo's of straw & slate coaster in this review). I am very happy with how they have turned out. Only 'wasted' one coaster & straw getting the correct settings but I think it was worth it.
One thing I will say is practise, practise then practise some more. You will 'waste' materials whilst you find the settings for the material you're using and for how you want it to look.
I have also ordered the 'portable' powerbank now (directly from the company) as more projects have come to mind that won't have any mains power nearby.
Review maybe updated at a later date.
I like how compact this is. It doesn't take up much room and I can just pull it out as needed. This set just has the engraver and power supply, but you can purchase the other pieces needed to do cups. It arrived very well protected and had lots of padding both inside and outside the box. The instructions seem pretty straight forward and I'm looking forward to engraving some flasks. After reading some of the other reviews I think I will definitely install the software on my laptop first to get familiar with it, before I try to operate it from my phone. Comes with everything shown in my pictures.
Works great on reflective stainless steel. The one on top is 4K 50/100 and the one on the bottom is 4K 100/100 - frankly it’s too deep so it’s too dark and you can feel that there’s is notch in the steel. Getting there!!
